Overview

A hospital with a decades-long legacy needed people who had never seen it to care about its future.

Konkoma SDA Hospital serves Konkoma and the surrounding rural communities in Ghana's Ashanti Region. It began as a community clinic in 1987. Today a single building serves more than 20,000 people, and a new hospital is being built to provide the maternal, pediatric, emergency, and laboratory care the community needs.

Building it depends on supporters far beyond Konkoma. Our role was to give the campaign a story, a voice, and a home.

The Challenge

A need is easy to state. It is much harder to make someone far away feel it.

The hospital had everything a compelling campaign needs: a legacy worth honoring, an urgent and very real need, and a clear vision for what comes next. But it had never been told as one story, and certainly not to people who had never visited.

A supporter needed to understand where the hospital came from, who it serves, what the community faces today, what the new hospital will change, and exactly how they can help. And all of it had to lead somewhere: to a decision to give.

What We Did

01We found the story

We went back to the beginning: the community's first efforts to bring healthcare to Konkoma in 1987, and before that to Madam Achiaa, whose home became a place of worship in 1963 and whose legacy lives on in the project. From that history we shaped a narrative that moves naturally from where the hospital came from to where it is going.

  1. 01Legacy
  2. 02Need
  3. 03Vision
  4. 04Action

02We gave it a voice

We wrote and produced a short fundraising film that carries a viewer through that story in minutes, combining the hospital's own footage with professional narration, original motion graphics, and careful sound, so the need is felt, not just explained.

03We gave it a home

The film introduces the story. The campaign website lets people go deeper and act: the history, the need, the vision for the new facility, progress updates as the hospital is built, and a clear path to give. It was designed around the supporter's journey, not around a conventional hospital site.

The Result

One story, carried from a single clinic to supporters anywhere.

A story people can feel
A clear narrative that moves from legacy to urgent need to vision.
A film that opens the door
A short, shareable way to introduce the hospital to anyone.
A campaign that converts
A website that turns interest into a clear next step.

Someone can now meet the hospital through the film, learn its story on the website, and find a simple way to help. That is the journey the campaign was designed to create.

Our Takeaway

Good work is not always about creating more. Sometimes the story already exists, and the job is to give it structure, a voice, and a home, so people far from the need can understand why it matters.
